Mater Private Radiotherapy Centre is located in the University Hospital Limerick (UHL), Dooradoyle. It is accessible by both car and public transport.
Take O’Connell Street (R527) southbound from the City Centre. Continue straight onto O’Connell Avenue, keeping on as the road becomes the R526 (Ballinacurra Road) Continue straight across the N18, and take the second exit at the roundabout to stay on the R526. Stay on the R526 at the next roundabout. Turn left (first exit) at the third roundabout and follow the signs for the University Hospital Limerick (UHL).
Car parking on site is available in designated car parks. Car parking in non-designated areas may obstruct emergency traffic. Please co-operate with the directions of the traffic controllers.
A charge is made for car parking which contributes to the upkeep and security of the car park and to other patient services. Special car parking areas are set aside for disabled persons and these are located outside the Out-Patients Department and main hospital building.

Exit Colbert Train Station in Limerick. Walk towards Davies Street and then turn left towards Hyde Road. Get on the 301/304/304A bus at Hyde Road Post Office stop. Get off the bus outside University Hospital Limerick Stop. You will arrive at Mater Private Limerick
Facilities
Café: our centre is located within the University Hospital Limerick and where there is access to the Hospital cafe. A tea & coffee machine is available in the waiting area here at main reception.
Cancer Support: the Cancer Information and Support Centre is located in the next building. Information booklets, counselling services, complementary therapies and support groups are just some of the services on offer. There is also a drop-in facility for patients and their families if you fancy a chat, a tea or coffee or just a quiet area to sit in.
Smoking Policy: smoking is prohibited in the building and its surrounding areas.
Valuables: the centre does not accept responsibility for valuables including money or jewellery. We encourage you to keep them with you at all times or preferably, to leave them at home.
Shop: there is a shop onsite in the University Hospital Limerick where we are located.
