The Clatterbridge Clinic is a joint venture between Mater Private and the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is one of the largest networked cancer centres in the UK, operating in ten sites across Merseyside and Cheshire, and treating over 30,000 patients a year.

For Irish patients, partnering with one of the UK's largest radiotherapy centres will help keep us at the cutting edge of cancer treatment. The Clatterbridge facility offers treatments for ocular melanoma and bowel cancer that are only available in a small number of sites worldwide. Also a state-of-the-art Truebeam linear accelerator provides advanced technological treatment options.

Opened in 2013, the clinic provides chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment to patients in the Liverpool and Merseyside area. This is the first international development for the Mater Private, having success successfully won a tender process to provide private patient cancer services at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust.

Patients attending the Clatterbridge Clinic have access to highly specialised cancer treatments including Proton Therapy and Papillion Therapy.

• Proton Therapy in used to treat eye cancers and Clatterbridge the only site in the UK to offer Proton Therapy.
  
• Papillion is a form of contact radiotherapy for early colorectal cancers.
