Payment Options
Mater Private Network only accepts cashless payments. If you have a shortfall in insurance cover resulting in a balance bill, or are attending on a self-pay basis, please read the information below.
Mater Private Network no longer accepts cash, cheques, drafts or postal orders as a form of payment for any procedure or service we provide, including admission charges, testing and treatment costs, excess fees and on-site restaurant facilities. This does not apply to the professional fees of some consultants; please check when confirming your appointment.
Our priority at all times is to protect the health, safety and well-being of our patients and staff, with this contact-free payment solution being implemented across the network as part of a series of new infection prevention and control procedures.
Committed to advancing healthcare technology for over 35 years, these new measures also improve overall efficiency for our patients, with payments by credit card, debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay now accepted across all Mater Private locations. This is intended to make hospital admission more streamlined and reduce unnecessary delays on the day of treatment or testing.
For any costs not covered by private health insurance, prepayment is now required for inpatient and day case procedures and must be received in advance of admission date. It is your responsibility to kindly confirm your insurance coverage with your insurance company. If a third party such as an employer or solicitor is financially liable for your visit, please contact the Finance Department on 01 885 8856 in advance of your visit to provide us with the contact details of the payer.
