Education & Experience

Mr. Miguel Rodriguez received is degree in Medicine and surgery in Carabobo University, Venezuela, in 2007. He was awarded several master’s degrees: Master’s degree in “Investigation in Health Science” by Extremadura University, Spain, in 2013, Master’s in “Update in urological surgery” in 2019, by University CEU, Spain, and Master’s in “Uro-Oncology” in 2020, by CEU University, as well as several university expert degrees in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of various urological cancers, including cancer of the penis, prostate, kidney, testicle, and urothelial carcinoma.

Mr. Rodriguez has also been involved in various courses and training in the Jesus Uson Minimal Invasive Surgery Center, including laparoscopic radical prostatectomy course, advanced laparoscopy in urology, percutaneous renal surgery- endourology, laparoscopic colposacropexy, endoscopic retrograde intrarrenal surgery, experimental retroperitoneoscopy, laparoscopy experimental urologic surgery, microsurgery and more

Mr. Rodriguez has gained significant experience in his field, serving as a urology resident and completing surgical training in Spain in May 2016. He then worked as Urology Consultant at Caceres University Hospital from 2016-2022, leading the Lithiasis and endourology Section from 2016-2022, Tutor of residents from 2018-2022 and holding a private practice at Urolit, Cáceres from 2018-2022. Currently, he holds a position as a Urology Consultant at Mater Private Network Cork, Ireland since January 2023.

Special Interests

His areas of interest include endourology and minimally invasive surgery, kidney stones urological cancer, general urology, urinary tract symptoms (male and female), benign prostate pathology, urinary tract infections.
