About

Education & Experience 

Dr. Edward Corry is a Gynaecological Oncologist at Mater Private Network, Dublin.

Dr. Edward Corry is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and General Gynaecologist. He completed his undergraduate degree in medicine in Trinity College Dublin in 2012 having previously worked as a veterinary surgeon prior to studying medicine. 

He was awarded a First Class Honour’s Degree, and a number of academic awards including a Gold Medal from Trinity College for Academic Excellence, qualifying first in his class.

Following completion of his internship he commenced Obstetrics and Gynaecology training and was awarded dual membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

On completion of his training, Dr. Corry undertook a two-year European Society of Gynaecological Oncology sub-speciality Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology in the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital. He was subsequently appointed as a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin.

 

Special Interests

His interests include minimally invasive surgery including both robotic and laparoscopic surgery, cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer, and general gynaecological surgery.

 

Clinical Research & Professional Memberships 

Dr. Corry is a member of: 

  • The Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
  • The European Society of Gynaecological Oncology
  • The Irish Society of Gynaecological Oncology

He has an interest in Quality Improvement and completed a Graduate Diploma in Healthcare and Risk Management from University College Dublin. He subsequently undertook an MSc in Healthcare Management in the Royal College of Surgeons and was also awarded a place on the RCPI Quality Improvement Scholars in Residence Programme. 

He has co-authored a number of chapters on Quality Improvement, as well as a number of National and International publications related to both Gynaecological Oncology and Quality Improvement.
