Mater Private Network achieves Great Place to Work accreditation

Location: All

Mater Private Network has been named as one of Ireland’s Great Places to Work.

Each year, Great Place to Work selects organisations in Ireland that are committed to creating an excellent workplace environment. This certification is granted after a comprehensive and independent evaluation by the Great Place to Work® Institute Ireland. The certification process involves collecting anonymous and direct feedback from the employees about their organisation.

This certification is a measure of an organisation's Trust Index score through a 73-question confidential Trust Index survey. It provides independent recognition and pathways to build consistent, positive employee experience.

The red and blue Great Place to Work logo is on top of a collage of three pictures of staff from across Mater Private Network.

We have achieved this certification following completion of an extensive survey with participation from colleagues across our network of healthcare settings. Subsequently, we have implemented a series of initiatives to improve practice and culture in several areas across our workforce. This feedback and change process is invaluable to help our organisation to build upon our improving culture of trust and collaboration.

This achievement is also an acknowledgement of the work our colleagues do each day to provide exceptional care to our patients, and to support each other to thrive.

Garry McCabe, Chief People Officer at Mater Private Network, said: “I would like to commend each and every person across our network for making it a Great Place to Work. Feedback from our colleagues is crucial to the process of improving the culture within our organisation for the benefit of every person working within it.

“The goal of this journey to become a Great Place to Work was to learn about our workplace and implement new initiatives to improve practices and culture in the areas of connection, environment, reward, and recognition.

“While we are pleased to have made lasting progress, our commitment to improvement is not done. Our ambition is clear: to become the very best place to work in healthcare in Ireland. Together, with continued input and collaboration from our colleagues across our network, I am confident we will achieve this goal.”
