Storm Éowyn Weather Warning: Patient Service Update

We wish to inform patients that services across our network will be impacted due to a nationwide status red weather warning issued by Met Éireann for Storm Éowyn, effective Friday, 24th January 2025.

Patients scheduled to visit any of our locations are advised that the majority of non-urgent clinics and procedures may be rescheduled.

Please refer to the following information regarding our services, planned appointment rescheduling and location closures.

Dublin Hospital

  • Our Emergency Departments (ED) and Urgent Cardiac Care (UCC) services in Dublin remain operational throughout the red weather warning period. Oncology treatments in Dublin and Limerick on 24th January will take place in the afternoon, subject to weather conditions.
  • All non-emergency clinics will be rescheduled in due course.
  • All Out-Patient Day Radiology appointments will be rescheduled.
  • Theatres, catheterisation labs, endoscopy, and occupational therapy will operate at reduced capacity.
  • Cherrywood and Northern Cross Day Hospitals will remain closed on Friday.
  • Drogheda, Navan, Mullingar, Cavan, Kilkenny, and Limerick Spine Centre outreach clinics will remain closed on Friday.

Cork Hospital

  • Our Emergency Departments (ED) and Urgent Cardiac Care (UCC) services in Cork will be open from 12pm.
  • Our Radiology Department will be open from 12pm.
  • All non-emergency clinics will be rescheduled in due course.
  • Theatres, catheterisation labs, endoscopy, and occupational therapy will operate at reduced capacity.
