Senior House Officer - Medical/Surgical

Positions are for a July 2025 start at Mater Private Network, Eccles Street, Dublin 7. 

Duties & responsibilities

• Follow the hospital admissions process by documenting history and physical examination the designated Initial medical assessment form.
• Assess/review and document findings for patients as requested by the attending consultant and/or nursing staff in a timely and legible manner.
• To review patients on a regular basis in accordance with the plan of care made and inform the consultant or relevant registrar of any issues or problems.
• Prescribe medications for patients as required as directed by consultant.
• Participate in ward rounds.
• Complete the discharge process with an electronic discharge letter.
• Cover admissions in the Same Day Surgery Unit / Heart Centre Day Unit.

Skills & qualifications

• Registration with IMC.
